The Oak Ridge Affiliate was invited to participate in the Tenth Anniversary of the Knoxville Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women on Saturday, Nov. 19th. Kathy Martin, Rhonda Sternfels and Toni Stephenson set up a table to share information about NAMI.
It was a rousing success as we talked to all of the 240 participants who attended and gave out pamphlets, our contact cards, and stress relief balls, bubbles, and lots of information. In fact, so many of them needed to talk that our table began to slow down the line as it entered! We also made great contacts with women interested in our shared goals.
We hope to continue our association with this group of powerful black women as we share about NAMI with the African American community.
