May 20th - Save The Date - Walk with NAMI in 2023
The NAMIWalks for East Tennessee will be hosted by NAMI Oak Ridge/Anderson County, NAMI Maryville/Blount County on May 20 starting at 9AM Eastern time at the Mayor Ralph McGill Park on the corner of Campbell Station and Kingston Pike in Farragut.
NAMIWalks, NAMI's major fund raiser will be happening at the same time across the country. It is pet friendly, we will have some children's activities, music, food, and a chance to walk together. There will also be representatives of some from some of the helper organizations.
We would love to have you join an existing walk team or start a walk team with friends, family, community organizations or work places. Go to https://www.namitn.org/nami-walks/ to register a walk team or join an existing one. You can also donate without walking. The Oak Ridge team is NAMI Oak Ridge United in Hope. Kathy Martin and Toni Stephenson are the walk captains.
"I am walking for all of us that have family members with mental illness, those of us that have mental illness and for the hope that eventually everyone that needs mental health help can receive it."
