Do You Knit, Crochet or Quilt?

The Oak Ridge Affiliate of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is inviting those who knit, crochet or quilt to consider sharing your skill by creating a lap blanket or shawl to be given to the adults who use the Family Justice Center in Oak Ridge.

The center which is located at 301 Broadway offers free services and interventions to help victims of abuse, assault and elder abuse. Confidential assistance and referrals are provided to those needing help.

Our affiliate would like to show support and love to those adults by gifting them with a lap blanket/shawl to remind them that someone cares and has taken the time to make this for them. Items should be washable and approximately 32 x 60.

Our affiliate will purchase tags to be attached by us that say “Given in Love and With Hope.”

Members of our affiliate will receive and deliver blankets to the center and we need the help of our community in this project. Please contact Kathy at 865- 466-1234 or Toni at 865- 806-7816 for information and to arrange a pick up.
